Townsend Schools 7th Grade Visits Radersburg

, Preserve Broadwater History, the Broadwater County Museum and Radersburg Historical Preservation, Inc. (RHPI) hosted the Townsend Schools 7th grade class's 5th annual outing at the historic Radersburg School.
The 7th grade class is the class that studies Montana History and Radersburg has a very rich history!
Historic Radersburg Hosts Townsend Middle School Students
On May 13 2024, the Townsend Middle School students came to Radersburg for the third annual history outing. The Townsend Seventh grade students study Montana history. Radersburg is has an extremely interesting history: once the county seat for Jefferson County and a hub of industry and travel for southwest Montana.

Townsend Schools 7th Grade Class Visits Radersburg
On April 27, the Townsend Schools 7th Grade Class (the class studying Montana History) visited historic Radersburg in Broadwater County.
The outing was co-sponsored by Preserve Broadwater History, Radersburg Historical Preservation, Inc. and the Broadwater Historical Society.
The students arrived at the historic Radersburg School (built in 1913) where Linda Huth (Broadwater County Museum Curator) made a presentation on the history of Radersburg. Afterwards they were treated to hamburgers, chips, cookies and water.
